This will help participants gain proficiency in this growing field and understand the appropriate uses of Bio-Fillers based on patient needs and indications. Various injection techniques including needle and microcannula will be covered in small groups.  Additionally, a detailed review of anatomy, physiology, musculature, and circulation system of the head and neck, patient assessment, evaluation, indications, contraindications, and safety will be provided for performing facial injection therapy with Hyaluronic Acid and Bio-Fillers.

Live patient treatment planning sessions will include injection techniques for correcting:

  • Temporal hollowing

  • Midface volume loss

  • Cheek enhancement

  • Tear trough

  • Nasolabial folds

  • Perioral lip lines

  • Marionette lines

  • Oral commissures

  • Smile rejuvenation

Traditionally, aesthetic injectable treatments are administered using sharp-tip needles, which can result in a higher risk of pain and bruising.  Using a blunt-tip microcannula offers a safer and more comfortable experience, aiming to minimize discomfort, side effects, and subdermal trauma during the cosmetic procedure.

Live patient hands-on sessions will allow participants to gain insight into the following:

  • History and background of microcannulas in aesthetic medicine

  • Safety protocols and best practices techniques

  • Proper usage including size selection and entry points for specific facial regions

  • Understanding facial anatomy and layers for safe and optimum product placement

  • Patient assessment to determine ideal injection sites

  • How to minimize and manage potential side effects

  • Perform facial injection techniques using microcannulas

Botox Overview

Participants will receive comprehensive information on all the protocols related to botulinum toxins. Understanding available products, market trends, and specific hands-on injection techniques for each facial muscle is crucial for running a successful esthetic med spa. This will involve a detailed review of head and neck anatomy, physiology, musculature, and circulation system, patient assessment, evaluation, indications, contraindications, and safety measures for conducting facial injection therapy with botulinum toxin.

Live patient treatment planning sessions will cover the consultation process, setting patient expectations, key landmarks, facial mapping for improved injection accuracy, and the development of an aesthetic treatment plan for addressing:

  • Frown Lines

  • Forehead Lines

  • Crow’s Feet

  • Brow Lift
